Brass Bear Delicatessen in Alamo

The Brass Bear serves excellent sandwiches. I highly recommend them.

Great sandwiches! Ingriedence are always fresh. Loved the pesto aioli and the shredded lettuce. Everything includes mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes pickles and red onion, but not peperoncini.. so make sure to ask for them. The pesto pasta salad is really good, includes green peas, shredded carrots, black olives and rotelli pasta.

First time here. Very busy. Customers out the door. Asked before I ordered if I could have my sandwich heated. It was pastrami. He said sure. Received my order. Cold as can be. Not sure if I would return.

Great sandwich shop in Alamo. The service is friendly and everything tastes good. Salads are homemade and taste like moms! Go by a bit before noon to avoid the rush. They have seating inside and out. I've been going here for over 20 years now and don't plan to stop now!

I love their sandwiches, but I resent to have to yell my order at the top of my lungs everytime I order here. And then have to repeat my order again to the cashier, and to the cook.

Been going here for 20+ years. High quality establishment and high quality food. Their sandwiches (and the shredded lettuce they use) are to die for, and well worth the extra couple bucks over a Subway/Safeway sandwich. Service is also top notch. Highly recommended.

Been there a handful of times and the sandwiches are ok. Pretty good ingredients but the bread options I have had I just haven’t cared for much which I think is a big deal for a sandwich place. It would get the job done if I went again but I would prefer if they had fresher tasting bread that was richer in texture and taste along with the options of toasting it. I like my sandwich with along of sauces too and even if I asked for extra I think the bread prevented it from tasting the way I like. Overall not a bad place whatsoever, but not my #1. Plus everyone there doesn’t look happy to be working there haha everyone’s usually blunt and looks bored but I have always received my order pretty fast.

I always loved coming here growing up, their sandwiches just have something extra you don't get in the chain sandwich places. Every time I come back to town I make it a point to go here at least once to get my dutch crunch fix. Always dutch crunch. Friendly staff and great atmosphere really adds to this awesome little spot.

An Alamo local institution their sandwiches are outstanding and the have been in business for many years. Always great, very nice owners a family owned business. Have used them for catering sandwich trays and salads for parties on several occasions.

Best Roast Beef On Sour Dough Roll anywhere! Best sandwiches no matter what you order. I have been getting food from this Deli since the 1980's and it's still the best. Best sour Dough french bread rolls, true sour Dough. The deli sides are all handmade there on-site daily. Nice family owned place too.
